Beautiful Blogs
Okay, I have a question. There are several blogs that I read and each of them are amazing to look at. How do you do it? I have tried to make it so that my blog doesn't just look like another template but I can't seem to figure it out. How do all of you make your blogs so beautiful? Can you give me some pointers?

You can change yout font/colors and layout.... all through the blogger toolbar.
Hil, that is where I got this layout (well sort of. Daniel actually went into the code and made it so I could add the sunrise image. I couldn't find another way to do it). How do you make it so that your blog takes up most of the screen. Mine is really narrow and I like that yours is wide.
In customize, under template, there is a pick a new template line. Choose that and then pick a template that has the word "stretch" in it. Or look for another template that is wider. Don't worry if this changes your colors, because you can go back and pick your colors again.
Denise, Thanks. So how did you get the back ground design on yours? And I love your header!!! Did you design that using a different program?
I designed the header in photoshop. I am still working on the mechanics of it, but it is coming along.
I am working on a cute valentine's day header. I love how Hilary changes hers, so she is my ispiration.
She makes her own backgrounds for her headers, but I don't have that finesse yet.

She even tells you how to add it to your html code.
You can still play with the colors and everything.
I only added the background part of the code, rather than all that she has there because I wanted to be able to control the alignment, etc.
If you use one of her backgrounds, you will not want to use a "stretch" template because it will overlap the sides.
All she asks is that you put a link on your blog to hers.
By the way, don't you ever answer your phone anymore?
There are free templates you can find online and they will tell you how to change it. Here's where I got mine and if you click on home, it will show you more.
