Today Christopher and I were in the car together. I had put in a CD called "Not your Mother's LDS Music". As he was looking at the case he said to me, "Mom, I wish we had more church music around the house".
It made my heart happy.

My kids love "church" music as well. I love all of the EFY stuff and the messages are so wonderful! I agree, why don't I listen to it more?
Try out Eclipse, "Grateful Praise". They are an acapella group and one of our new family favorites for "church" music. I went to college with the percussionist...He's incredibly talented.
This makes me think about the strength of our youth. After reading Denise's blog about Mikayla's choices and realizing all our kids are dealing with the same things, I am so grateful for the gospel and good things their leaders teach them in YM/YW. I used to think that I didn't have much to do with the way my kids turned out. In my old age, I realize that's not true. We have a different standard for our kids on so many levels outside of spirituality. I want my kids to be reponsible, respectable, patriotic citizens. I guess we're still doing okay, even with that tween attitude!
I love your new quote on the right side of your blog!
Great quote!
